The bidding “Geographical Information System (and Formatted Message Management System) Version Upgrade Service” held by Land Forces Command Logistics Command for the need of Land Forces Command took place on the 12th of May, 2008. The bidding was awarded to our company for the version upgrades of its GIS and Formatted Message Management System products from its GeoKIT and MESSMAN line of products.

The bidding “Geographical Information System (and Formatted Message Management System) Software License Procurement” held by Turkish Ministry of Defense Internal Procurement Desk for the need of Land Forces Command took place on the 9th of April, 2008. The bidding was awarded to our company for the licenses of its GIS and Formatted Message Management System products from its GeoKIT and MESSMAN line of products.

Bilgi GIS participated to SOFEX 2008 which is held in 31 March- 3 April in Amman which is the capital city of Jordan. The event is held under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who will be launching the activities of SOFEX 2008 supported by the Jordan Armed Forces. Turkish companies participated in the coordination of Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) to Sofex 2008 in which 60 countries took part, as well as approximately 300 exhibitors, more than 700 government and military VIPs.

The abilities of reading and mapping of the weather forecast data such as temperature, humidity, pressure at least 20 parameter in each layer were added to GeoKIT® GIS software.  It is an API of GeoKIT® GIS software, and also the works are being continued on serving it from GeoKIT® OGC WEB services. 

It provides studying with the integration of applications that contains Command and Control Information Systems such as Common Operational Picture (COP) and weather forecast model analysis.

GeoKIT® SpatialWebServices OGC Web Coverage service (WCS) has been announced as at November 2007. The service which has OGC standards provides data serving and downloading from user site.

Our company GIS software product, GeoKIT® has been selected by JELS-Jordan Electronics, Logistics and Support Co. for the projects of Jordan Army Forces Command and Control Information Systems Project. Accordingly, the procurement transactions has been completed.

Our company has obtained the certificate of Ministry of Defence Production Permission in the year of 2007.
